Inspired by the tallest mountain - Mount Jerai in my hometown. People could get up to the peak by hiking or by car. There are a few resorts and a manmade garden on the peak. In the past, a spectacular aerial view of the River Merbok, the mangroves and the endless paddy fields would be in sight. Mount Jerai has been there seeing urbanization of my hometown.
In this painting, I use many square disks to construct the scenery on the peak of Mount Jerai. I imagine these disks are eyes. Each eye has a never-ending-recording function. It witnesses the hypermorphical changes for thousand years.
